History
TCR was established in 1975 to provide transportation services in the Southeast Kansas area. With interstate and intrastate authority, demand stimulated growth and expansion into a diverse range of services offered to all facets of industry and manufacturing, including petrochemical, aerospace, metal working, stamping, plastic, rubber, cement, printing, energy generation, construction, food processing, and foundry.
In 2008, TCR worked for approximately 300 clients at 400 different sites. John Deere, Matrix, John Zink, Coffeyville Resources, Superior Industries, Spirit Aero, National Standard, Frontier Refinery, Johnson Controls, Empire District Electric Co., Zachary, Conoco Phillips, Ameracrane, Watco, Baker Oil Tools, American Airlines and DP Winch are a few of our long-term, repeat customers.
Mission Statement
Taylor Crane & Rigging, Inc. is committed to providing our clients with the very best in service, equipment and personnel. With this commitment, we will satisfy our clients’ needs in a safe, competitive, and responsive manner.
Tulsa Expansion & New Location
Taylor opened its first satellite operation in Tulsa on North Lewis in 1988. For the past 10 years, TCR has served the Tulsa area from the Tulsa Port of Catoosa. In 2008, TCR closed on an industrial tract of approximately 80 acres just northeast of Pine and Garnett. This location puts us on our traffic lane, highway 169, and more central to our client base which will allow us to be more effective and efficient in the Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma market. Plans include erection of a new 30,000 square ft. metal building with overhead craning capacity. The facility will house Taylor’s equipment and provide under-roof warehousing for clients - open lots will present our clients outside storage as well. Railroad track borders the northern property line; Taylor is pursuing development of an on-site spur, which would open the company to receiving direct trans-loads from rail.
Awards and Recognition
• The SC&RA "Outstanding Rigging Job of the Year" 1989 & 2005
• Record Heavy Load move for State of Kansas as of April 2006
